"To follow the complex pathways of information in the brain."
Dr. Marie Luise Schreiter is a neuroscientist, psychologist, and science communicator at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen.
Your focus: Transfer of knowledge from basic neuroscience research on the brain to society, clinics, and interdisciplinary teams.
After completing her studies at the University of Sussex (UK), she obtained her doctorate at the University Hospital Dresden on the interactions between emotion and cognition. In Tübingen, she investigates how objective and subjective measurement methods can be meaningfully conveyed and evaluated, and what influence expectations have on the validity of these methods.
Clinically and therapeutically, she has worked in the treatment of children with ADHD, autism, and PTSD, using a combination of neuroscience methods and psychotherapy.
Marie Luise has become a regular at the festival and regularly impresses with her expertise and clear science communication.
